The characters from this game are so rich. The next Capcom VS. game (hopefully Capcom Allstars) needs to feature at least 3 characters from this awesome sleeper.
This game reminds me of Guilty Gear so much! Awesome visuals, awesome music heck even the character who fights with 2 spears reminds me of Sol Badguy! I wanna get this!
Sengoku Basara X (cross) Made by same people who make the Guilty Gear and BlazBlue franchise. For whatever reason, Capcom went to them and asked em to make a fighting game based off their over-the-top Dynasty Warriors-like series, and this was the result Game played pretty good. Was busted all all of hell, though not to OBSCENE levels (save for maybe one character) that all of the 2D Fist of the North Star/Hokuto no Ken fighting game was.
Capcom shot this series in the foot because they were crybabies when they found out that Tecmo was Infringing copyrights from their characters and more recently how data is transferred by other games on disc. Capcom won both lawsuits, but I’m sure the stigma from this as it was heavily publicized in Japan (and a lot of people despised Capcom for this) is why they’re will never outside of Japan and why any characters from Senkou Basara will NEVER be in their crossover titles. They are never even mentioned. One Tecmo side you’d need a fur coat in Hell before Chun-Li and Morrigan get to join in Dead or Alive beside Mai and Kula. Very sad, but I’d really say it’s Capcom’s fault.
